Job Title: QA/QC SUPERVISOR

Job Summary:

​

The QA/QC Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the quality assurance and quality control processes throughout all phases of construction and project development. This position ensures that work meets the highest quality standards and complies with all industry regulations, project specifications, and safety protocols. The QA/QC Supervisor plays a key role in inspecting materials, monitoring workmanship, and coordinating with contractors, site supervisors, and project managers to ensure that quality requirements are met. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and a thorough understanding of construction materials and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

​

  • Quality Assurance: Develop and implement quality control plans, ensuring that all project activities meet the specified standards.

​

  • Inspections: Conduct regular inspections of materials, workmanship, and processes to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.

​

  • Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation of inspection results, non-conformance reports, and corrective actions.

​

  • Compliance: Ensure that all work complies with applicable codes, standards, and project specifications, including safety regulations and environmental guidelines.

​

  • Issue Resolution: Identify and address any quality issues or defects, working with site supervisors and project managers to develop and implement corrective actions.

​

  • Contractor Coordination: Collaborate with contractors and subcontractors to ensure that their work adheres to quality standards and specifications.

​

  • Testing Oversight: Oversee the testing of materials and equipment to verify their quality and ensure that they meet project requirements.

​

  • Reporting: Provide regular reports on quality control activities, including areas of concern, corrective actions taken, and overall project compliance.​

​

Requirements:

​

  • Proven experience in quality assurance/quality control in the construction or related industries.

  • Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and industry standards.

  • Familiarity with quality control procedures and inspection techniques.

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project specifications.

  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to resolve quality issues efficiently.

  • Knowledge of safety regulations, including OSHA standards.​

Preferred Qualifications:

​

  • Certifications in QA/QC or related fields (e.g., ASQ, AWS, or ACI certifications).

  • Experience in large-scale construction or industrial projects.

  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 standards or other quality management systems.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office software or reporting tools.

  • Certifications in safety, such as OSHA 30-hour training.

 

Working Conditions:

  • Primarily field-based, involving frequent inspections on construction sites, with exposure to outdoor environments and varying weather conditions.

  • May require working at heights, in confined spaces, or under challenging conditions.

  • Physical stamina required, including the ability to walk, stand, and inspect areas for extended periods.
