Job Summary:

The Welder plays a critical role in executing precision welding tasks to support various construction and industrial projects. This position involves assembly, and repair of metal structures and equipment using welding techniques. The Welder ensures that all welding operations are performed to high standards of quality and safety. This role works closely with project managers, site supervisors, and other team members to meet project specifications and deadlines while adhering to safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Welding Operations: Perform various welding tasks, including MIG, TIG, and stick welding, to fabricate and repair metal structures, equipment, and components according to project blueprints and specifications.

• Material Preparation: Prepare materials for welding by cleaning, cutting, and shaping metal components to ensure proper alignment and fit.

• Weld Inspections: Conduct regular inspections of welded joints to ensure quality and compliance with project standards and specifications.

• Equipment Maintenance: Maintain welding equipment, including torches, welding machines, and tools, ensuring they are in good working condition.

• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and follow industry safety standards to maintain a hazard-free work environment.

• Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project plans to determine precise welding requirements.

• Collaboration: Work closely with supervisors, operators, and other personnel to ensure that welding tasks are completed efficiently and contribute to the timely completion of projects.

• Physical Demands: Capable of performing physically demanding tasks, including standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs. for extended periods. Ability to work in varying environmental conditions such as heat, cold, and confined spaces.


Requirements:

• Previous experience in welding operations, construction, or industrial environments.
• Proficiency in various welding techniques (MIG, TIG, stick welding).
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality welds.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Valid welder certification and/or license may be required.


Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in construction or industrial settings.
• Familiarity with safety protocols, including OSHA standards.
• Advanced certifications in specialized welding techniques or equipment.
• Experience with welding in confined spaces or at heights.


Working Conditions:

Primarily outdoor work with potential exposure to extreme weather conditions. Welding tasks may involve working in confined spaces or at heights, depending on the project.
